Two arrested for car theft in Bauchi
T he Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two individuals for alleged involvement in criminal conspiracy and car theft. The suspects— 30-year-old Ibrahim Uzeru from Kashere Santuraki in Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State and 35-year-old John Paul from the Bayan Gari area of Bauchi State— were apprehended after a stolen vehicle was traced to their possession. According to a statement issued by the Spokesman of the Command, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the arrest followed a report made on March 29, 2025, by Yahaya Haruna, a 41-year-old resident of Gidan Gona, Bauchi. Haruna had parked his green 2000 model Honda Civic, with registration number ALK-627-GG, at Yelwan Tudu Market around 6:00 p.m. and returned shortly after to find the vehicle missing. A team of detectives was immediately assigned to investigate the theft and recover the car.
